well that's certainly a cheap fix! my car wont even run at all with that undone.
As for the fuel system I stand corrected. I'm familiar with this car's returnless system but am no means a pro. I swapped pumps in mine to deliver more fuel and had an issue where a hose was not attached to the basket good enough. the car stalled at idle but ran with a little throttle so i had it in my head that it could be a pump or other obstruction.
