After a couple of weeks now my 03 is kicking into ETC failsafe mode, i took it to a friend of mine who works at a ford dealership as a mechanic and runs a business part time out of his garage. He says that the #5 coil is wearing down to take into the lincoln dealership because the coils are under warranty. So i take it in and the dealership confirms that 2 coils are bad but they also say the throttle body is bad? My question is should i believe the dealership that the throttle body is bad?? My car has 69,000 miles on it and is not under warranty but the coils are for 100,000 miles. The mechanic i took the car to swears it's just the coils.
