does anyone know what went wrong here? i fixed my passenger door regulator but now the door wont close, its like something is loose in the inside.
need help asap, fix window regulator but now door wont close!!!!

did you trip the latch? put a screw driver in the latch and pull the handle then pull screwdriver out. if thats not it use the screwdriver to simulate the door striker and try to latch it

now the door closes, but it wont lock, the door is open at all times. All the other doors lock instead of that one. I thinkg something is loose inside, can anyone guide me in the right direction? if not im going to have to take it somewhere to get it fixed. oh and another thing the lock doesnt move its really hard i dont know what came loose.

did you unplug your lock actuator?

im thinking that i did unplug it, im not sure, i see a black plastic peace that looks like its supposed to go plugged somewhere but dont see where to plug it in..... really frustrated here.

ok step 1 is walk away and relax, only thing that happens when your frustrated is stuff breaks. not sure on the ls set up but look for something near/attached to the latch

thanks chickenVIII i got it fixed!!!! it was a black plastic part that goes attached to the latch that controls the lock that came loose when I pulled the cable trying to put the regulator in. Thanks for your help I guess that I didnt see it at that moment b/c I was really frustrated. That tends to happen to me when I get angry, LOL!!!

I don't think you are alone there. Everyone makes mistakes and overlooks things when frustrated,, is why the best advice was just to simply walk away for a while.

+2 (says the ford mechanic) stop and walk away. and always, always check to make sure everything works BEFORE you put the panel on!
