I just noticed someone maybe oil change place lost one of my air-box screws and replaced it with a sheet metal screw. Anyone have a screw out of a trashed cars air-box. They are long black with machine threads with a smooth 1/4 inch or so near the head. Please send price info and availability?

I need one also.

If they put a sheet metal screw in, you are prolly missing the nut, which is basically a press fit in the lower box. Check and make sure you still have the nut.

Max what about shipping? Can this 1 screw ( I have the pressed in nut) be put in a small padded envelope for a $1 or $2 or are you going to have to ship FED EX?

Air Box Screw

Last winter while traveling here in Fla. I jumped into GATOR FORD near Tampa and had them do an oil change. I told the service guy to NOT TOUCH my air filter as I had just put a new one in. I had replaced that screw with a subsitute but I didn't tell him that. Well, I could see the guy changing my oil from the waiting area. After he let the car down He had the hood up and was bending over on the pass. side under the hood. I thought "that SOB is checking my filter and he'll lose THAT SCREW". I screamed at the service guy. I HAD A REASON FOR HIM TO NOT TOUCH THAT AREA BECAUSE OF A SCREW THAT I REPLACED. The service guy said IT'S HIS JOB TO CHECK EVERYTHING. When the guy brought my MARK around,,I was out the door HOLLARING. He said "I saw your repacement screw everythings OK I put it right back". I made him show me. He did put it back. I thanked him and left.
