Looking for some input on choosing some sub(s)
Which is a good choice for the LS 10", 12", 15"
Should I make a box or get something already in one?
I was thinking just get a single 12" sub with factory box but there are a few good deals on 10's and 12's fully setup in box.

This deal ends in a few days, its cheap and big savings but just a single 10" with amp.

Or these 2 12" Pioneers I talked em down to $350 http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pml/ele/3465105812.html
Or buy this Alpine PDX.1.1000 amp and get subs later http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pml/ele/3464706752.html

I'm going nuts trying to make a decision, Those are just a few that im interested in.

My last system I had a single 15" kicker L7 powered by Alpine MRP-M1000 in my Explorer XLT which was nice with Pioneer AVIC-X710BT HU

I have about 300$ at the moment I can put it towards an amp, subs or both. It was my bday on Dec 02 so thats what I got left over. I bought a Cd Deck already Pioneer DEH-P4200UB its gona be temp til I get something better.

You should be able to get a decent JL w6 in box with amp for 350, that's unless you're dead set on the listed subs.

No definately not set on those ones, Im open to others. JL's I've never owned any before. Good subs? WHere to get them used or online? Also what size 10, 12"? Dual or single

I see they ship to here. I'm gona e-mail and see prices for shipping.. I'm debating what size woofer and to get 1 or 2. Also the level..

More available brands here are alpine, pioneer, kicker, JL, JBL, rockford, Phoenix Gold, MTX, clarion, Polk etc. More interested in the first 4 though. Theres lots on craigslist I've never order anything online always buy in store or off CL

Honestly a dc audio sub will put all of those to shame.

Has anyone got them shipped up here before? or retailers in CAN?

My JL 10W6 hits harder and far cleaner than the Alpine 12" Type R I threw in there temporarily. Was never a big JL fanboy, but I'm a believer now.

^This. I know someone with 1 12" JL sub, was like 399 for it with the box. That thing gives you goosebumps, you'll be happy with a JL

I've had 5 or 6 JL subs and I've never been let down. Perfect SQ and can get very loud if powered right. With my RE I gave up on my Sq and got loud. I guess it's whatever you're lookin for.

Awesome JL's seem perfect. What size subs would be a good match for the LS's trunk? Single or Dual 10"/12"?
Usually I say bigger better.. But Might have more trunk space with a single sub for other things like a Carputer. I'm not looking for ridiculous bass just something that will still sound good and not rattle my car apart.

A single 12'' JL will be more than enough, I think 2 would be overkill imo.

I just talked to that guy it was english man, it is his sons woofer and I asked if he tested it and if it sounds good - he said it is new and never has been plugged in. It looks like a good buy, save $110 + taxes than if I were to buy new. It will also be easy to find an amp for that thing.

It's a good deal, although it is basically a bottom of the line JL. It will probably be pretty clean, but definitely won't hit super hard.

Yeah that is what my initial thought was when I seen the specs. Im going to pass on that one.

How about these they are the JL W3v3

Those are MUCH nicer subs.. They will be extremely clean and will definitely hit hard. That's still a great deal.. My single 10W6 was $320 and that was the cheapest price around.

just saying, if your going to go JL, might as well be a 13" w7!

go big or go the fukc home

Listen to them first. If he ran them off that amp, he underpowered them by a lot. Those need a monoblock pushing 1000rms to bump well.

^ pretty much

if he was running a 400 watt ZX amp, it was probably good for 500 RMS at the most (probably mid 400's) and each of those subs is good for 500 W each

so he was only running them at about 50% (terrible match up)
