Need a new Alternator

Hey Guys,

I need a new Alt. on my 96 LSC.

I was looking on Rock autos site and they have quite a few choices. I was wondering which is the best one. Or do I swallow it and go to the dealer.

very true. When my original alternator went out last summer. I got one from pep boys with lifetime warranty. I should of went to max but I had to move the car from the street. But in less than 6 months it went bad.

My 2yr old OEM Ford alternator crapped out on me Monday.
At least it lasted twice as long as the rebuilt one that was in there, lol...

If you want a bulletproof alternator, look at the stuff Nathan at Excessive amperage makes.

He's done a couple of alternators for me, and they're still up and running several years later.
