Here's a few things that i have yet to figure out on my LS.

Video 1.

My Converter/Power issue. Just started within the last few months. no codes, no misfires, nothing. Feels like Im pulling a boat when i want to pass someone, or take off from a light (at a great rate of speed) the engine sounds smooth as ever, not one misfire. (although i had previous coil problems, misfires, and VCG oil contamination) got all that sorted out, now my guess is i killed my converters. at an idle and during accel the exhaust creates a whoosh tone that sounds exactly like a miss during idle. also you can hear what sounds like an exhaust leak up front by converters. (no leaks) during HARD acceleration (like on an entrance ramp, or 0-60 you can faintly smell hot metal sometimes, but they dont glow, or rattle. Engine bay is quiet. (besides AC drag) still getting 17-22MPG. Any help appreciated. listen closely.

SUSPENSION CLUNKS -LOUD

no joking here, this road is outside my apartment. the seams here really couldn't be more than 1/2'' offsets. feels like im driving down a flight of stairs. steering is perfect. alignment is perfect. no veering, no pulling, nothing. my guess is struts. yours?

Are all 3.9 Idles like this?

My overall guesstimate is this is a "Ford" thing. seems like all motorcraft vehicles have this "hanging" idle on start up. am i correct? sometimes it hangs for a minute if it's cold. but i've never been a ford owner, and neither of my other vehicles have done this. anyone know why? is it because of their IACV design? Vs GM's Electronic Throttling Idle?

my ears are open to possible problems/advice!

Video 2 - Do you have sport shocks? Since I installed mine there is a stretch of road here that I get these loud thumps when I drive it. The surface is concrete with only small expansion joints, but it was bad enough that the first time I drove on it I thought I had a flat tire by the sound of it

Video 3 - Mine has always done the same. When the temperature gets up it will drop down to around 800 rpm

Video 3: Yes, it's supposed to "hang" around 1.5k at startup. All LS's do that v6 and v8. If I read and remember correctly it has something to do with getting the oil flowing.

#3 - It's supposed to do that. It's an emissions strategy. I think that you'll find that most LEV and ULEV vehicles do this.

yeah, i have the sport package. small pot holes feel like manholes. i honestly think my car is going to fall apart. if the road is smooth, it rides like a lincoln! but any flaw and youd think i had steel tires.

That sounds like it's too rough, to me. I get a little bigger bump over certain potholes, but mostly the ride is very comparable to my old shocks. How old are your shocks?

My '03 LS8 Sport has had clunks a few times, and it was always the sway bar end links. I changed the front sway bar bushings, but they were fine. The rear sway bar bushings are loose and do add a little noise. I tried to change them but they are way up there, and the nuts are rusted solid. I won't be able to change them without dropping the cradle, so it's probably not going to happen on my 200k car. My lower ball joints had a terrible groan that sometimes sounded like a clunk. There was no slop in the joint. It must of been dry. I put in Moog problem solvers, and they are quiet. There is still a little noise. I'm not sure from where it comes, but it's bearable at this point.

Video 2 sounds too loud to be just shocks, unless they're old a worn out. I'd get under there and check all the bushings and ball joints. Something is off with it. Mine doesn't even sound that bad with sport shocks and Eibachs.

#1 sounds like maybe an exhaust leak.

#2 sounds normal (were your windows down?). What type of tires do you have? Size? Make/model? A tire with a harder sidewall will hit harder (a 1/2"+ is pretty large!). Also, concrete is a very loud driving surface. Have you tried driving slowly over those sections and listened?

#2:
you need to take that to lincoln or a trusted suspension shop. it sounds too loud for anyone to accurately diagnose via internet IMO.
my best guess would be a combo of sway bar end links and/or sway bar bushings and tires. but it sounds too loud for all that still IMO
