First of all I just want to say that this site is the Lincoln LS "go to" place.
I have had a plethora of problems with my cooling system since slaming my car on a crazy speed bump at a restaurant in South Florida. I ended up wit a cracked radiator and a cracked thermostat housing lug (which left my thermostat in pieces inside the housing). Since that day I have changed the hoses, thermostat housing, degas bottle and thermostat. the car runs great an cool until of course the fluid level hits that low point in which the car goes into its overheat mode. Add some fluid and I am ok for a few weeks.
I finally took my car to the Ford garage to have it tested. He said that I need a thermostat housing and waterpump. I thought that I ordered all the parts online at Tasca Parts and started the job of changing everything out. There seems to be a plastic part that I dont have, nor can I find it on any of the breakdown drawings. It is a gooseneck piece that bolts to the block and attaches the the housing that the thermostat housing bolts to.
Was this supposed to come with the plastic part that I did purchase?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 2006 LS Ultimate.
