Well guys, I placed my order with Team Ford Parts today. I ordered

Intake Gasket Set
6 OEM Plugs
PCV Hose
PCV Valve
Fuel Filter

Im going to takle this myself this weekend.
I am going to unplug the battery before I do all of this.
I`m also going to get some K&N filter cleaner for my KKm filter, is that an issue?
After everything is installed, I am going to change the oil. Ill let you know how I make out. Hopefully everything goes smoothly.

I`m averaging about 17mpg right now im my 2000 V6.
Comment are welcome.

After you wash out the filter DO NOT OVER OIL THE FILTER. In this case less is better; over oiling could contaminate the mass air sensor and you will start getting CEL.

Also: at the top of the page, next to SEARCH is TECH ARTICLES, click on this, go down on the left under Lincoln LS and take a look at this area for some pointers like changing spark plugs.

Also, check the MAF and if its dirty get some electrical contact cleaner and clean it up. I'd do the fuel filter too if you are getting that low of mileage, I get more than that with my V8.

I remember taking the intake manifold off of my 1st LS which was a 00 V6 and the intake gaskets kept falling out when you try to put the intake back on. Might also want to get some RTV silicone to hold the gaskets in place as you put the intake back on.

thansk for the help guys. the parts just came in today. btw, i did get a fuel filter. how long you think this is gonna take? any more hints? and i got the pcv elbow. if could i just go to autozone or something and buy new hoses for it?

3 hours later, it is complete, installed all the parts i bought. however. i could now find the pcv valve i looked everywhere. i also have one more problem, a small air leak which i believe is the intake plenum gasket. i am going to be ordering this from team ford parts tomorrow. also, there is a small hard plastic tube that connects to the throttle body. does anyone know the part number on it, i accidentally snapped it but was able to rig it back together.

The PCV valve will be seated in a grommet on one of the valve covers. And will have a 3/8" or larger hose leading to the intake.

ok i got the pcv valve, and the 90 degree angle. im guessing that the elbow attachaes direclt to the pcv valve.

here is the hose i need.

That arrow is kinda in the way and I'm not familiar with the V6 motors, but does that hose seem to make a U? If so, you should be able to get that molded hose from a local parts place (read: small parts place, not PepBoys, AutoZone, etc.). If not, RockAuto.com has the hose under the "emissions" section for your car.
