I installed these today :)

Installation was straight forward and had no issues with the sway bar endlinks what so ever. I would recommend to others that you clean the threads on them first so they are a little easier to work with. With a buddy and myself and limited experience it took us 4.5 hours to complete.

After a half day of driving total drops (accurate to +/- 1/16") were:

Front: 1.25" on both sides
Rear left: 5/8"
Rear right: 7/8"

Not sure why the rears are different the initial measurements were different as well RL being 14 5/8" and RR being 14 3/4". Measurements were taken from center of wheel to lower fender well (marked with tape as to maintain repeatability) I will be following it for another week or so to see how they break in.

The car drives just about as she did stock, not harsh, not bouncy. Car feels overall a little tighter than stock.

I did hit some firm bumps and the car felt good like normal, hit a couple potholes and I felt that my teeth were going to come out of my head! Currently no rubbing issues, with stock 17" wheels with 245/45's

I have pictures, but I forgot my camera in the car. :( So they are on the way.

I hope this information helps anybody considering doing these.

I am happy that my car currently looks how I feel it should have came stock. :D

Cause after wear and tear no ones shocks are the same. The height is really a rough guesstimate but it usually should end up pretty damn close.

That is wierd about your rear measurement. I have sprints and when I did mine I got 1.25 initial drop on all 4 corners after the car was done. I never measured after to see after settling, and I dont remember my stock measurements anymore.

Did you make sure the springs were aligned properly when you reinstalled them?

Before, really crappy picture but shows the truck height of these cars

After... much better.

They were installed just like they came out. I think it is because both the bottle and the battery are towards that side of the car. I find it funny though that initially the passenger rear was higher. Now they are only an 1/8" different so I aint complaining! lolz

They looked like they settled a bit more today, so I will re-measure them again tomorrow to see if there are anymore changes.

yeah once they settle they should drop a little more. it looks great now IMO

Thank you :D I was really concerned that the Eibachs wouldn't go low enough and these ones would beg the crap outta of me for some proper offset wheels.. Haha I don't wanna look slammed like honda with stock wheels, but very clean. I think with the right set of 20's or 19's it will look sharp..

Currently these wheels are my selection:

Thank you, I fell in love when I saw them! They are 250/ea for 20's and are American made.. which is a bonus IMO.

I wish I could incorporate a little color into my car, maybe some light candy apple orange accents very very light... It would just set it off on the all murdered look.

I am a big fan of your wheels btw! :D

which wheels??? the ones in my sig are now sold but i have quite a few . check out my gallery to see a few more. maybe you could do a thin painted line around the outside of the wheels to accent, ive seen it done before but not on a ls just a thought dont chew me out lol

I like both sets :D

I won't flame you, this is the only forum I have been where people really tear each other apart for creativity. There is a big divide between classy, thug, and performance. Not everyone is going to meet eye to eye.

I was thinking like an 1/8" pinstripe on the wheels maybe not around the lip but maybe into the spokes themselves, but I wouldn't know where to incorportate the same color on the car itself.... :\

I want to do this. Not the black wheels mind you but the springs. I need to do a little homework on which are best to go with and not get silly low and too harsh. This one looks good for a start.

You sure you want black wheels? Looks ok on nascar looking trucks and clapped out accords with no hubbies but a classy car like the LS? Maybe black centered w/polished lip? Whatdya think?

Hey, I gotta try...

:-)

Depending on how much more you weight your car down +38 works.

LsUnV2, dude your new avatar is spooky! It looks like its crawling out of some evil swamp.

Black wheels yes :D There is no chrome on the car what so ever, and anytime you look in a wheel catalog chrome lipped black wheels are the new generic. :(

But yes earlier, we were talking about a way to incorporate some candy orange 1/8" into the wheels to really make it pop with just a little color

Yes, Werner your offset looks great in your sig pic :D

So when looking into that look stay away from the Generics:D

those would look nice in 19's. in 20's you might rub seeing as you haven't settled with your springs yet. i would wait till that happens to go wheel shopping.

KleenLS did a photoshop in his thread with said color lip, check it out. if you want to avoid the norm i'd probably avoid that mod seeing as it is picking up a lot of hype in the tuner/ricer department. all black and no chrome is my ultimate goal, if you had nothing to match the lip color to then it would look out of place IMO

Yes yes, I don't plan to buy them yet. Not many have the $1800 + shipping just kicking around waiting to buy something with minimal residual value to them. Plus they don't have our bolt pattern :| but these Oklahoma guys are pretty cool and I can work something out with beer I am sure. :D or use the CNC's at work.

I wasn't thinking of doing a ring around the rim, but maybe just some pinstripes in the spokes of themselves, but I would have to figure out how to add a little of the same color first to tie it together. Otherwise it would look odd in my opinion.

I went to SEMA this year, and there is some very beautiful wheels out there and this style is gaining more popularity. I would likely repaint my calipers black too. Just to set it off more.

Originally I didn't want a blacked out LS, but whoops there she is! haha. Also debating about doing the satin clear coat look. But that's a wayz down the road as she is still the daily driver.

Now that clashes and IMO is that Generic look you spoke of before.

How does black and orange clash? and my google image searches yielded zero images of this style of color adder. Unlike black with chrome lip..

Also, these color accented wheels are gaining popularity but sadly with the range of colors and personal preference's you are not going to find them at Discount Tire or Les Schwab. Only high end retailers Lexani Ashanti etc etc.. so therefore looses all generic value in my opinion.

To me its just a terrible look and reminds me of the DUB all star wanna be classification:shifty: :D . If you don't want polished, chrome or silver on the wheel which are all similar to white ( void of all colors ) simply cause nothing else on the car consists of any of those then how does the orange flow?

Im not steering you away I just personally don't like tacky stuff like that and if you look there are some generic companies out there that do color schemes like that.

It reminds me of that two tone orange LS not long ago:eek: :) .

I would just keep them all black or get the polished lip if available. You don't need other items on the car to match that. Its the type of item that just don't require it to me, its on all 4 corners and in moderation and it helps add depth but by all means do what you feel like its your car:D

You talking about this one? lol I am not sure how that could even compare..

But yes, it's commonly known that black and orange are complimentary colors.. They match and flow very well (in moderation)

I didnt originally want black or chrome wheels and especially the two combined because in my, and I am sure a lot of other peoples opinions, that is the definition of generic. I would be happy with white stripes.

Meh, I think it will look pretty good :D and I am sure I am not the only one that feels that way. It's nice not like I am going with full out orange wheels here hahaha!

Cause that's not the one Im talking about.

A little bit back there was a two tone LS all Dubbed out and later posted that it was up for sale. May have been different schemes but the same approach.
There is nothing generic at all about having a polished lip.

The rest is your opinion!:)
