my front end is shot! I commute to the city every day and my car sounds like crap.or it feels like its going to break in half. air ride is ok so far but i want to change my front end before it gets worse.does anybody know where i can get the parts at a good rate and where can i go to a place that really know our cars.

Agreed. Rockauto.com and when applicable, buy parts for a '96 Thunderbird instead of the Mark VIII. Inner and outer tie rods, lower control arms, bushings can all come from the T-bird and you'll save even more money.

And enter a discount code ( 611641554717 , this one's good until 5/15/07) in the where did you learn of Rockauto, and you'll save another 5%.

After 5/15, check around online for a discount code. There's one posted on Markviii.org too.)

Just make SURE the parts you get are TRW or MOOG! Advance Auto sells TRW/Moog.

OEM was TRW for the most part anyway. Don't play around - get the repairs done as quick as possible.

Rich will tell you that they can cause catastrophic failure...

Well it could have been worse. Lucky my daughter had just crossed the intersection and was driving slow when the ball joint popped out...

Was real fun changing the lower control arm on the road side... Good thing I had already purchased one a few days earlier. Hard to find auto parts in Boscobel on a Sunday...

That happened to me THREE bloody times! Once in my 96, pot hole took it out. What a messy that fender was...

Then in my beater 95. First the passenger side when I was out of state, just left the hotel to go to work and as I pulled out of the driveway - pop. Then a week later the other side went - IN MY DRIVEWAY!
