IMO 245/45/17 are too short of a sidewall for the size of the vehicle. I used to run 245/45 and 275/40 on 17x9s, and they just didn't look quite right. These days I run 255/50/17s, they're actually a bit taller than stock, but I like a meaty tire so it works for me.

I have sumitumo 255/45/17 on my cobra r's, but I'm pretty sure they are 9 inch, good tires, stick like glue in the warm weather. You might have to check that when you back up they don't reb the front wheel weights off, if they do you just have to do a small amount of work with a grinder, you will see where the lead shaves off, or buy a spacer
 
I'm sorry, don't forget to check the offset, should be stamped in the wheel by the size. I think we need either a 36 or 39 mm offset
