my attempt to paint eyelids.

[story behind re-doing them:]
my car was recently in a fender bender, and the headlight cracked.
The body shop i took it to replaced the headlight and the fender, and decided they would be real friendly and replace the vinyl eyelid... Well they did that by taking it off the old headlight and slapping it on with Black epoxy. well about a month later it flew off on the freeway and i got pissed and ripped the other eyelid off. when i was having trouble getting the epoxy off, i turned to a solution called "Goof off" which is a professional grade goo gone. The Goof off started to melt the headlight a tad bit therefore ruining the look forever. so i took it upon myself to sand down the top of the headlight and tape both of them off at the top line and spray them down with black Krylon Plastic Fusion paint. so instead of buying a new headlight this was my solution, and thats why the eyelids sit so low.

They look good. Even better when you clear the corners. Did you get your headlights polished out as well?

definitely pass. you should spray them with some clear coat to make them glossy though, my only suggestion. looks great mam

no, i pulled the headlights so he could do the bumper 100% but when i took the headlights out to paint them, i used a hair dryer to get ALL of the moister out.
On the passenger side there were a couple hairline cracks from rocks and what not, but i painted over them and it hasn't fogged yet so im hoping the paint actually Sealed the housing.

So do the stick on eyelids have a tendency to come off over time?

not really the stick ons aren't bad but the body shop took one off and put it back on, and instead of using 3M adhesive they used Black epoxy which was much weaker.
