Here are some pictures of the 97 Base I picked up this weekend to use as my daily driver/beater car. You can read a little bit about it in the suspension forum under "I need some help..."
I found it on Craigslist here in SC (actually, right down the street from me!) It said something to the effect of "front wheels won't turn, air ride needs work."
The passenger side lower ball joint had broken loose and it was screwin' with the air ride, so it was slammed. I thought I was gonna have to convert it to coils, but after I replaced the lower ball joint, it pumped itself right up, and it has stayed that way for like 4 days. Yay!! The HID's were both replaced not that long ago, and the neon still works. The cupholder is broken though--not the arms, it's the inside of it that's broken. Anyone got a cupholder with broken arms they wanna give me? It's got a pretty good oil leak somewhere, the paint is peeling in a couple spots and there's a dent on the roof with a rust spot.
Oh, and I know that wheels aren't on correctly. These pictures are from right after I got it to my house. I imagine it will look a lot better once I give a good detailing inside and out.
All in all, not too bad for $900!
Paint peeling on trunk.
Hazy headlights....I already sanded/polished one of them since the picture was taken.
Paint peeling on fender.
If you look closely you can see the dent, it's about the size of a 3 x 5 card. You can also see the rusty spot.
First time I've seen a crappy-looking back seat in one of these. I think his dog used to ride back there. Also, there's at least 2 cigarette burns in the seat part of the backseat.
Front seats look pretty good.
Woodgrain has a bunch of chips in it.
