Okay So I got my 2000 Lincoln LS V8 Sport for 2900$ Tax Tag and Title all included.
So In that time ive replaced : Torque Converter, Timing chain Tensioner Driver side.
So Ive got about 700$ into the car already.
Now driving a few days ago I had a over heating problem
Did some searchin on my car and the fan is good, the waterpump is good, and put a new thermostat.
So now ive came down to the conclusion that its Either a cracked Degas bottle.
Today I did a pressure test on the bottle and couldnt get it to leak as I thought it was doing at the drivers side bottom fender.
But then my mechanic noticed it was leaking a tiny bit at the thermostat Housing. The goose neck part that has about 4 Places for hoses and what not and where the thermostat mainly sits in.
SO! My question is, could this small leak cause a overheating problem under pressure?
and if so.
Ive did some research and found a All aluminum housing for 50-60$ shipped through rock auto.
Ive also found this
Amazon.com: Motorcraft RH68 Thermostat Housing: Automotive
On amazon.
If you could give me your thoughts and tell me if this is the right housing for my 2000 Lincoln ls.
Thanks!
