My 03' LS didn't start up right away today

well im no car pro but that's why i come here to ask my silly questions. i've been noticing that my car [03' ls v8] sometimes seems to take a little longer when i turn to key to start. tonight after i left the gym i got in my car and turned the key for a good 5 seconds and nothing. i tried again and then it started right up. why could this be happening?

when you say "nothing" do you mean it doesn't even crank? Or does it crank but doesn't start up? I had a problem where it took longer to crank before it would turn over. It went away after I changed the plugs...

I was having the same problem, a new battery solved the issue.
