When replacing this switch, does the steering wheel have to come off?
Damn. Looks like another job for the Dr.![]()
pulling a wheel isnt bad, all you need is a generic pulley/wheel puller and a t-50 torque's or you can loosen the center t-50 but keep it screwed in, and put your feet into the floor and wiggle and pull the steering wheel towards you, the center bolt keep the wheel from breaking your face!!
loosen but dont remove the bolt
place the ball end of a small ball peen hammer on the bolt and put the hammer handle behind the rim of the wheel
with steady but not excessive pressure pull on the hammer handle and lightly hit the hammer head with a second hammer
move the hammer handle to the opposite side and repeat
i did it this way about two=three months ago...works every time
Hmmm. Maybe I'll try it. On a junk yard car first.
