code 1506 made me write this thread.lol

i installed a sct2 tune in my 97 lsc last summer. ever since then i've got 12-14mpg, smelly cats w/ hard accel sometimes and im sick of it. i have a pass side imrc thats stuck open. that happened when it was stored for the first winter i had it. I've seafoamed it 3 times since i've had it, and almost caused acouple accidents.lol....mmmm, not really..lol

whats the deal? Should i put the stock tune in to see if thats the prob?

honestly, i bought it off a guy on here. i dont remember. my memory is horrible. I'll check through some e-mails/pm's to see if i can get some info.

I would put it back to the stock tune and see if that helps. It doesn't look liek you have any mods that REQUIRE a tune... and you've probably been running rich too.

god the shift points/firmness suck w/o the tune...lol... ima run another seafoam now and change the pcm back to stock.

You could start a new tune then load the value files for JUST the trans stuff. That would put you back to stock with the good shift points. XLRVIII has a great tune I am using for just that as I experiment and learn. His are good enough that I dont even touch the trans settings and probably never will.

They shift TERRIBLE stock.... with my tune the shifts are almost there, but I think I will Jmod my trans still....

DEFINATLEY, return it to stock and see what it does.
that is usually the first step in finding out if it's the tune, or the car.

To add - if your car isn't properly maintained then a tune can make problems worse as far as sensors go.

The biggest issues on a tuned car is if there is a big variance between commanded and delivered AFR's and you start leaning things out they can get way too lean....no beuno.
