moon roof slider

What's the easiest way to remove the slider section (to get re-covered) of the sun/moon roof on a 95. Looks like I'd have to losen the slide brackets and wiggle it out. Sure are a lot of screws. looks like the arm for the pop up difussers have been removed. Boy is that some sticky glue. Thanks for your help TONYyyy

There are eight 10mm bolts you remove. Three on each side, Two in front and none at the rear. Disconnect one harness and you already know about the sticky trim.

It all comes down as a single assembly. Careful bringing it down. Some of the metal edges are sharp. Its best to have a helper help you bring it down so you don't damage your interior.

arg i hate these things. im half tempted to weld a plate in place of mine and just be done with it. of course i would like to see a proper R/R of the sun roof with great detail on how to not only get it all to line up correctly but not shake or rattle and even more so not make the sucking sound as it moves out of place when doing 90mph

Thanks for the help. All I want to take out is the sliding headliner panel.Dug out the book and it shows the panel can be removed, a little tricky but I'll give it a shot. The sliding roof works well so I don't want to touch it. Just want to upholster the sliding liner. They made the gen2 so easy compared to Gen 1.

i hated mine til it didn't work. then i immediately wanted it back.

also i had to remove the whole thing out the top to remove that sliding panel. dunno if it can come out the bottom or not.
