OK...Had the '03 LS8 in for it's 10K service this morning and since I already have the THX sound system, I figured I'd ask about that Mobile-Ease upgrade. I've been reading it's like a 3 or 4 hundred dollar upgrade, so why not? Well, the parts manager had no idea what it was, the sales people never heard of it and the service manager had no info but will look into it for me. I mean...it's on their website isn't it? Aren't they supposed to keep up with this stuff? :eek2:

Please reply to me what happens... But when I called the 800 Lincoln phone # they didn't even have a clue what I was talking about and said they would research the question and get back to me, and when they called back they said it was only an option for 04's. I have o3 w/THX Nav. and a new Verizon Motorola V710 that is Bluetooth..... I would love to get it..

I believe it only works for 04 and newer. The 03 THX/NAV system does not have the port to install the harness to.
I hope I am wrong as I have a new bluetooth phone as well and would love to upgrade my 03 too..

MobileEase will definitely work ojn your '03 with the THX system. It's designed for '03's and newer. I have it, and I'm a HUGE advocate of it. I guess I just like to use technology to it's fullest capabilities.

If you need any more answers, or would like to inquire mor eabout MobileEase®, just drop me a line, I'd be glad to help.

For me, MobileEase has made cell-phoning in the car, easy and hassle-free. I hope it can do the same for you. And BTW, installation takes about 30 minutes, IF you take your time. It really couldn't be easier.

Good luck.

Thanks Chris,
I am starting to be a Non-Lincoln liker..... I never had a problem when I had Lexus and an Infiniti... It is when I had my Caddy and Lincoln that I have these problems. I called dealership they had no idea what I was talking about when I first got my bluetooth phone. Then I called Lincoln Customer Service had no idea then they said they would get back to me, a few days later someone called and said that it only works on 04's, then when I got my oil change last month I asked the head of the service dept. and he told me he knows for a fact that it doesn't work on 03's because he had a customer that really wanted it and they when threw the whole thing and fould out it's only for 04's because the nav system is a little diff. in the back (he said that is why u also couldn't get the dig. radio thing (sorry forgot the name right now) but he said he was SURE, because if they could it's a nice amout of money and why would they want to turn people away) so I just gave up...

Dont loose hope bro. Thats why these sites sprang up. Lincoln makes a really great car. But there are some small things that would bother a nonhandy person. I love my lincolns, not the lincolns dealerships. But as you can see i buy nonwarrantied vehicles. Although after driving an LS this weekend i almost considered it over my 96 tc

Chatting with a couple of sales guys at the dealership the other day, I found one was pretty up to speed regarding bluetooth. The other was clueless. I guess it depends on how motivated the individual is. While shopping for my new car a while back, I stopped into a Caddy dealer. This was only about two or three months before the CTSv was out and wanted some info other than what I had read in the magazines. Not only didn't he have any info, he never even heard of the vehicle. I kept going till I hit the Lincoln dealer.

I just purchased a new 2005 Lincoln Town Car Limited, and part of the deal was to install the Mobile-Ease system. You are correct when you say the dealer knows nothing about this system, I had to point out to him that it was listed in the brochure. Well, they had it installed by an outside shop, and when I finally got my new Motorola V710, I could not marry it to the Mobile-Ease. The shop that installed it told me that they talked to Ford Technical Support and was told that the Mobile-Ease would not work with my radio. I have the Navigation System, and the radio that goes with it.

I went back to the dealer and they informed me that a part was needed to make it work and it would take about 10 days to get it. I later found out that it was the system installer that told them that, and it is not a part that is needed, but a completely different system.

I called Lincoln customer service and they knew nothing about the system, but called me back and said it should work with my car. I again called the dealer and spoke to the Service Manager (who did not know anything about Mobile-Ease) and briefed him as to what I had been told, he said he would look into it, and I have heard nothing since.

Does anyone know if Mobile-Ease with work in a 2005 Lincoln Town Car Limited with the Navigation System?

The ford Motor Company is rapidly losing face with me.

Can you help?

Has anyone had any experience with Mobile-ease and the new Blackberry 7100T from T-mobile? I went into the dealer today where they just happened to have a Navigator on the floor with Mobile-Ease installed. I talked with an after-market specialists that had been involved in a few Mobile-ease installations.

We tried to pair my 7100T to the Navigator and couldn't get it to completely work. The pairing process appeared to work because both the Navigator and the 7100T acknowledged each other.

The problem was that the 7100T would not stay connected and we were not able to do anything meaningful (Dial, transfer, etc).

Any suggestions?

I really would like to install Mobile-Ease in my '04 LS, but only if I have some level of confidence that the two will work together.

Thanks,
Steven

bluetooth

I purchased a 2004 Lincoln TC in Dec. It took until March to convince a Lincoln dealer he coould order it. In Chicago area these instalations are handled by Chicago Sound who farms it out to another installer, Mine works fine but I strugled thru 3 Motorola V600 phones before I got it working perfect. It will voice dial, access the voice phone book in the phone but it was a struggle be cause as everyone knows, we the customer learn more about it than the dealer personell. If you have not got it installed send me an email and I'll help Email add below

5 Star has always beat the prices other folks and even made suggestions on alternatives to outright parts replacement that would have saved me some money. I hate to sound like a mark for any company but I will trust 5 Star with my wallet as long as Maxx is there. I can't say it enough Thank you 5 Star!
