Does anyone in the cities area know where I can have rotors turned? The auto parts places won’t do them because there under spec and I’m too cheap to buy new, I have 4 of them to do.

Thats why they wont do them. if you kill someone in an accident, due to a brake issue, they could be held liable by having turned under spec rotors. eric, new rotors can be had for that car for like $23 bucks a copy.

That what I am doing Brandon, just trying to save some green.

I can’t call myself cheap, I just was dumb and spent my money other car parts and have very little left for good rotors.

Can’t go to the parts stores because they won’t do them, I used to do them all the time back when I was in school, wish I still had access to that machine and a tire machine too, God knows that would save money in the long run.

Thats not a bad price, I think rock auto listed some also for $60 each...just wonder how fast those will warp

I stopped turning them a long time ago, they will warp fast, ask me how I know.

I have had some warp right away after turning and other like the Town Car, are still free of warp. Just depends on manufacturer and who is doing the milling. I think I will just run with the pads and rotors I have now, if I can’t have what I want I'll just save the money now and buy the good ones down the road.

I know the Raybestos rotors are 74.99 Per side for cobra rotors out here. I'll have to check tomorrow, but I SWEAR the cheaper line (BrakeBest Select) for Cobra rotors was around 40ish.

Yeah I have seen a few for $60 now/ea, but I'm just going to put them in the blast box and run em like that. They will work for now because the car dosent get driven much.
