Since the "hurricane" knocked out the power to my office, my consulting work has been stopped in its tracks so I figured what better time then to continue gathering the pieces to start my build and right now I'm trying to decide on the mirror turn signals. So what do you guys think...

First option

I like this is smaller and looks more like a factory piece once its molded in..

Or

not so much factory, but I think it's wrap around look would really flow well, however I see this being a pain trying to find a set that would offer a closer fit to the couture of the LS mirror...

Ive looked at the thread in which someone did this mod and instantly new I had to ad this to my list.....

This is my point of view, I know you want the VIP look which will as we have discussed in the past will be a lot of work. What I would do is start the build and do the major parts first then add your details to set it off.

When I worked at the Restoration shop we didn't polish the chrome then build the car. Although it's not bad to start getting parts now so they are there when you need them. I don't know if the mirror turn signals is a big VIP look thing or not, I like the loof of the ones that are in the mirror it self, not so much on the exterior shell. But that is up to you to decide what you like

I hear you, the only thing I am missing as far as the parts go is the rims and suspension. The kit has been ordered along with the parts for the custom touches, the spoiler as well, along with the parts for the fenders and miscellaneous stuff like interior up grades, tips etc...

I'm stock piing everything in the garage then when it comes off the road in winter it can spend the whole winter getting done. I was going to initially just run newer ls rims with spacers but then realized that made no sense for the final out come.

as soon as the kits on, I can get my ride height dialed in, then see what rims and tires fit....it's all the process I have mapped out and am trying to stick with. I want to have everything ready by Nov to start..

the suspension going on first is a must, If you want and extra flush look your going to have to have that on to measure and find wheels to fit that stance.

when you get to that point contact these guys, tell them stancworks sent you they are top quality companies and they will get you right on point.

Word....for me I have to have the kit on, since I may or may not have a set of coil overs or just coils made to get my exact ride high. In order for me to know how low is feasible for a daily on these :q:q:q:qty roads, I have to have the it on..,,

Once I have the kit and suspension all set the rims and tires will come into play last for mechanical reasons and looks......I love a lot of the Vip Mod wheels but ive yet to narrow anything down.

IMO.. The stock LS mirrors are the only ones that will fit the car. (we all know how mirror modifications turn out :D ) the only way i see it working is too modify / add the lights to the stock housing. the "lens" would deff. have to be mounted flush the the outer case. To each his own. let us know...

That's what I planned on doing. I'm going to buy a set of donor mirrors with the lights in them, and cut the stock ones to fit, then mold them in.....
