I know this has been talked about countless times, but I'm curious about just the minnesota people with tint and problems they might have had. I'm getting 30% tint done in a week and am kinda worried about being pulled over. Ive got a dark blue car with a tan interior. I know the light interior helps lighten the look of the tint. I also know that anything under 50% is illegal, so I know I'm taking my chances, but would like to hear from any local people and troubles they have or haven't had. I appreciate any comments.

Hey man, how are things. Well I have had 35 for the past two years in MN and no problem. 30 percent you should be okay I do not think that is noticeably much darker than 35. But 35 is the the safest and you will not get pulled over for that so I would advise 35. The 50 percent thing is BS, police do not enforce as long as you are not too much below 50. Plus there would be no point to tint your car 50 because you might as well just not tint it would be so light. Oh by the way, we spoke a week or so ago, we will have to connect up this spring.

I am originally from Minnesota so I would like to ask a question regarding the tint on rear glass...is it legal? Years back it wasn't?

Yae it is okay. I mean now a days you can see moms in minivans and the rear tint cannot even be seen through. I mean it has gotten so out of hand that no one seems to care that much about the rear windows but the driver and passenger side window is a different story.

all I'm gonna say is if you tint it darker than the law allows... please don't b!tch about it should jonny law come callin... Deal with your transgressions like a man!

That being said... I've got 15% all around on mines (BOOOOOOM!!!)... no limit for rear windows... no tint on front windows would be the law for MI... and if MN is anything like michigan... it's nothing more than luck if you travel much. If you stay in one location... ask around locally and see how those with tint have faired.

I am well aware that I may be pulled over for the tint. And am prepared to pay the concesquences (sp?) if I am. I just wanted to hear from individuals and their own problems or lack there of, so as to gauge what I might be in for. As far as the 35% vs 30%, I was going to get the 35%, but at the place I'm going to have it done, they had a car in the parking lot that had 35% with a light colored interior (like mine) and was quite surprised at how un-tinted it looked. So I opted for the 30%. And if I get "hasseled" I will do what needs to be done. I just hope I dont. jk52781, yeah we will have to get together sometime. Get a twin cities LS meet organized, should be "sweet".

Cool man, well I hope things work out with the 30 percent. Definately will look very sharp against your blue color. Just keep in mind that when it is a cloudy day the tint will appear a lot darker than when the sun is out. I look forward to seeing your pics.
