If you're an eBay'er you need to look at this!! This is real!

Alright guys, check this out. Microsoft's got this deal going on where if you search for something using Live Search (Internet Explorer's websearch function), and it has an eBay link to that item (like Lincoln Mark VIII, for instance), it will send you to eBay with every Buy-It-Now item matching your search. If you subsequently buy something using the Buy-It-Now function, they will give you back 25% of what you paid. A quick search comes up with Burbank98lsc's 96 LSC headlights for sale with a Buy-It-Now price of $700.
If you purchase them in this way you will be getting back $175. See the picture below. Now, according to the rules, you won't be getting the money until 60 days has gone by, but essentially, you'll be paying only $525. Burbank98lsc still gets his $700, but you're really only paying $525. I think it's a pretty good deal. If you look at the second picture, you'll see where I bought 2 axle shafts that should have totalled $193, but due to this Cashback program and a 10% eBay promo code, I'm really only paying $135. Make use of this deal before it goes away!

Oh, you'll also have to sign up for a Microsoft Cashback account. It's really simple.

How can you hate eBay with a deal like this? haha.

Oh, and there's a limit to how much you can get back. It's in the 'Conditions' of the program. Make sure you read it, I don't want anyone to get screwed on behalf of me.

I have tried to change my search engine from Google to Live Search and it then pulls up Roadrunner Yahoo? WTF?

Here is a thread documenting my experience with this cashback deal.

$42.50 Cashback

I do want to stress though, that you don't get the money until 60 days has gone by. They say the reason for this is in case you decide to return the item.

Interesting indeed.

I bet its still cheaper than a HUGE ad campaign.

Found out Pepsi (or Coke) spent 1.1 BILLION in 2005 alone on advertising.

That pops up in your paypal after youve committed to buy? Im not gettin it here fellas.

I already used my 10% off. The cash back would be nice, but im sure ill use it soon. If i can figure out how to get it to work.

It tells you what kind of cashback you'll be receiving before you actually confirm your Buy-It-Now bid. I don't know if it matters, but it would probably be better if you set up the cashback account before you tried to buy something. I did, just in case.
Here's where you sign up:
https://cashbackaccount.search.live.com/cashback/welcome.aspx
Here's their simplified instructions:
http://search.live.com/cashback/howToUse
For eBay, follow the instructions I listed in the OP.
Frequently Asked Questions:
http://search.live.com/cashback/faq

Here's a picture of what you should see after searching. Click the link, if it shows up, and it will take you to all of the Buy-It-Now items, and as long as you click Buy-It-Now, it should show you my first picture in the OP. When you pay with PayPal, through eBay, it will show up in the bottom of the screen like my second picture in the OP. After sending the money, you'll get an email from eBay, or from Microsoft, or maybe both. I don't really remember. It'll say something about Cashback pending. Then, if you sign into your Cashback account, you'll be able to look at your pending Cashback and it will tell you how many days until you're able to 'cash in'.

Hope this helps.
Jay
