i just finsihed installing all new hose. tank pump etcetc in my 94 mk to switch from gas to methanol, car runs so much better :joke but anyways bout how much could i mix methanol w/ my gas

I think typical mixes range somewhere around 5-10% but I'd verify that before you go dumping a lot of it in your tank. Flex-fuel vehicles can run on up to 85% methanol but they are designed for it. The only things I know about methanol is that it's made from natural gas or burning of biomass (wood or even garbage), it creates a lethal gas when run through an engine without a catalytic converter, it is less volitile than gasoline, has higher power potential, burns cleaner overall than gasoline, but has virtually no real distribution system like gasoline, and it's expensive. Oh, and it's also been used as the fuel at the Indy 500 since the 60's.
