Mercedes Benz fears LSE?

OMG read my original post, I actually compliment the MB, at no point did I say it wasn't a nice car. ^^^READ IT.

The MB wins in every level. For the sixth time its not a comparison thread. At no point did I say my car was faster or better. ^^^READ.

If I would have labeled the thread "Older dude in late model 2-seater luxury sport type of convertable car, that will remain un-named, goes out of his way to get next to me then doen't even race". Would that have been better.

This thread was suppose to be about his idiot move and gutter run attempt. Around here thats a jack a**. And the fact that he obviously second guessed his move, which I thought was kinda funny. I guess I should have stressed that.

What are they putting in the beer in Milwaukee these days??? Some kind of NASCAR fantasy potion? The problem with this whole scenario is this:

Now in moderate traffic you don't pull into the gutter lane unless you intend to skip ahead of everyone, right?

Well, not necessarily. From your story, nobody knows what this guy was going to do. Maybe he was looking for an address, decided to make a turn, and then stopped. Maybe he was talking on his cell phone and got distracted. Maybe he missed a turn and decided to go around the block. The point is, you assume he wanted to race, but the circumstances you described hardly bear that out. From what you posted originally, nobody knows what the MB guy was thinking, but it seems to me it was clearly not about racing.

Ok, now I can respect that response. You politely made a good observation, and I agree who knows his intentions. The way he shot over made me think he wanted a piece of me or something. I really believe he was in a hurry and was trying to jump ahead of everyone, saw what was going to challenge and let me move out and he took 2nd spot. That doesn't mean he was afraid, but probably knew it wasn't a fly by. He probably still accomplished what he needed. Everyone jumped on me like I was doing a MB to Lincoln comparo, and posting like I was some kinda dip s**t. I don't take kindly to that. Alot of posts are pretty lame on here and I don't bother blasting people for it. I may start.

Ok....I have a question for you. Going by your logic, if a person can neither confirm nor deny knowing the MB drivers intentions then how can you come to the conclusion of, "it was clearly not about racing"?????   Yep, I didn't think so... :D

Well, that's not the "conclusion" of my argument. My conclusion from a logical point of view, is that it could not be known what the other guy was thinking. I then added my opinion that based on the factual scenario that was posted, it was not about racing. Nice try, sport.

Who posted it wasn't about racing? While no ones really knows his intentions and I did agree with that, did I not make it clear when I said "I personally feel he was in a hurry and trying to jump ahead of everyone". To me that is going to require likely pushing the gas to the floor in a timely matter after the light turns green. What do you call that? Sure theres no water pit and no tree, but theres all kinds of racing. He didn't try. That is the point. Twist someone elses words.

Nobody's twisting your words, pal. I said it wasn't about racing because that's my opinion of the situation. You seem to think it is about racing (you did call it "a race story"), and that's your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. The whole situation is a non-event, so just chill.

A+.......Good reading material.....Glad to see we're all still coinciding:F

No...I said "not much of a race story" in the first post. It was more about the maneuver he made like he want too...

Glad you enjoyed it boomhower.

Yeah, its not much of a race story, but it is a race story nonetheless. The entire story was about how you were not going to let this person get in front of you, and you were going to cover a certain distance in less time than he would. That's called a race in anyone's book. Its obvious you think it was a race, but the MB guy didn't have a clue. The title could be changed to "I Raced an MB who Didn't Know I Was Racing Him". The whole encounter was a nonevent -- why bother posting it at all?
