Moss, I personally support your decision either way. Let's be brutally honest, you ARE right. These cars are only becoming more impossible to get parts for and modifying them isn't the cheapest. The Mark8 crowd is pretty tight knit as you have seen. If it's not your thing anymore, it's not your thing. I wish you the best either way. And yes, the 3-valves are no slouch. I raced a guy with a 3v 5-speed manual with cat-back exhaust when I was on the mail-order tune and we ran door to door. He had practically no mods and I have plenty. They get up and go.
