Mark viii vs 91 Toyota aristo

It does it's a buddy of mine it's twin turbo. The aristo isn't that fast of a car and is fairly heavy plus with those rims I bet it weighs more then our cars. That race was 100% legit

Thats a Lexus GS300. Last year of it it made 220 HP in stock form and some where 5-speed auto I think.
With twin turbo it would be pushing close to 400 HP and would be in low 13's at least.
So either his turbos were stolen and he doesnt know about it or else...:D

Having owned a twin turbo 93 I lived in japan I don't see how you beat him at all, while its not a hell on wheels due to the weight/power its no slug either. Further more having looked at the video i noticed

one you guys were not even lined up correctly, looks to be almost half a car

two it doesn't even look like he takes off when you do.

thirdly at one point when you guys are lined up it looks as if the steering wheel is on the left side, making it not an Aristo, just a re baged GS300..When was it imported into the US?

Pics of the Aristo to see authenticity....and a real race, then see post the outcome.
 
I assure you it is RHD and I assure you I'm faster. I'll get another vid and pics of it.
You can clearly see at around 40 sec it is rhd and when we started he started pulling then my car down shifted.

Well mine did, the proof is right there. Plus I own a early production 93 which are faster then any other marks, actually there is a guy on here who ran a 14.1 in a bone sock 93.

agree, having owned a jspec aristo this screams bull:q:q:q:q. Ill be waiting for a real drag race.

that is a modified gs cause the gs NEVER came with turbos
I assume the toyota was a stock twin turbo with some bolt on's
not an after market set up just cause a car has twins doesn't make it fast
the stock tt motor was rated at 276 hp what makes that so much better than
the marks 290
 
Most people who import or install that setup in a GS have work done to them. What the point of having that setup if it's running 276 hp. Stock was 220.

I'm not calling the OP a liar , just saying that that car should be a lot faster. Something is off.

Im actually looking for a 2007-8 gs 430. Miss having a reliable car.

stock was not 220 its a 2jz-gte motor stock and that motor in that car
was rated at 276 and it was a from roll race so he may not
have been at a good point in the rpm to get boost
 
I had fun with this car, but a year is up
And I alwaa get something new every summer.
Gs430 will fit the bill perfectly.
 
I'm just saying, can't compare reliability when the two cars are 10 years apart. I wouldn't attempt to tell you what to do with your money, I wouldn't want anyone to do that to me. I'm no Lexus fan, but to each his own.
