some maybe it would be the exception, not the rule.

Most Mark VIII's 93 or not will not run mid 14's or close to it on average stock, especially with a big ass like mine in the seat. It took 2 states, 3 tracks and a number of tries for me to get the right conditions.

she knocked my 14.20 to a 14.06
on the same night she knocked stone17's 14.30 down to a 14.OH SO CLOSE .03

and mike gilberts 13.95 down to a 13.86 about 10 years ago

East coast track rule. I should have flown her out here and had the fastest stock Mark VIII ever recorded. The car was only about .15 off.
 
but the first time would be a hoot cept the first gen headlights wouldn't let you enjoy the view...a second gen would be funner

You know as well as I do that's a best case scenario for a 93 and almost a worst case for 94-95s.

FWIW my Z4H0 car "felt" just as fast as my W3Z2.
 
I think you got lucky with the car also.
Did she sell the 95? If not, give her some time and space and contact her again.
Since you have "one of his cars" it's only right that the pair not be split up.

If they got a good trans in the car, then consider giving her a little more for the 95..
you DID get a good deal on the red car.. ya know?
Might "pay it forward" a bit...cant hurt right?

I have no problem with the idea of helping her out and paying a little extra given the circumstance. But she jumped the price of the car from $4500 which was already a bit high to$12000 when the guys at the shop told her he spent almost $4000 and about a weeks time to swap in the manual trans. That is just crazy in my mind!

yea I thought it might have jumped from 1200 to 4500.. what your saying..that lady has lost her freaking mind....screw that

She seems like a nice enough peson she just doesnt understand you almost never get your money back out of a car.
 
Yeah I really screwed this thread up good:eek: Sorry:( While I'm at it though I took a long lunch today and found out ths thing must be tuned. It hit 140 and the needle kept going til it started bouncing! I backed off of it then. There was no chip in between the harness and PCM so Im assuming it had to have been done with a flash device?
