Any exhaust shop who knows what the hell they are doing can make an x-pipe right then and there. I had all of my exhaust made from the headers back with an x-pipe. If you don't run headers, one option is to gut the stock cats, run an x-pipe to a set of mufflers of your choice out back. Magnaflows are popular here. You can go straight pipes if you chose, but if you run headers, the combination is going to be SUPER LOUD. Like police attracting loud.

some exhaust shops (the ones by me) wont take out your third cat and put in an x. just buy the x kit from mandrelbentexhaust and clamp it in and have one of your local shops weld it in after you limp it there

Have you used this welder? Thats pretty cheap if it really works!!

Since it's flux, there's really nothing to it. A regulator and something to feed the wire. I have a Cambel Housfield that didn't cost much more than that, and I've been using it since 1999. If youc an afford better, do it. Go for one that lets you control temp a bit better.

Unless you have a tubing bender also a welder alone isn't going to do much..unless you piece a whole bunch of bends together :/

Take a sawzall and cut out third cat, then take it to a shop and tell them you had sold the old x-pipe and now need a new one

That's exactly what you do, with manderel bend sections from Jegs. It allows you to fit things much more snug and can even allow for much better flow in tight bends; you can section-and-weld to keep a constant ID, rather than compressing the tube.

I myself want to re-do my exhaust even though my father had it done 2 years ago. He likes the sound and its alright imo but i want something louder and aggressive. I want to get the 3rd cat removed, put an x-pipe in, run dual 2.5'' piping out back to dynomax race bullets.
