32v 5 speed
My thoughts would be build it with a mild gen1 or gen2 - 5 speeds are out there out of mustangs -the cobras are meant to have a gearshift !!!!! -- then gather parts for the built teksid c headed steel cranked go getter -- mark 8 engines or cobra engines are out there to build while working the electrical gremlins out of the cobra - only need to change the 6 bolt flywheel and it would sell when the time comes and 8 bolt ones can be found easy enough but new is nice too!
Man hotrod cars are "motion in progress" meant to be enjoyed ,,,
Work on them all week to drive them on weekends - these forums have really done wonders for finding and trading parts --- remember tomorrow isn't guaranteed - build it, enjoy it while you can still read the wrench sizes :steering
