I am about to trade my old Mark VIII in for a 2005 LS V8 with 17inch wheels. Does anybody know if the Mark VIII 16 inch wheels will fit. Can't believe the price they want for winter tires for this car in Canada even if I can find them.

Thanks for any help.

The bolt pattern is the same, but, IIRC, the offset is quite a bit different, and they may not clear the LS's calipers.

They are extremely close and do fit, but spacers help. I have a set of with snow tires on my LS, I test fit them before I did a brake job and they fit fine. With new pads they hit the calipers. I luckily still had the old pads and was able to put those on and it fit. I bought some spacers off ebay, and I am going to get those put on soon, which will let me fit at least close to a new pad. One other thing to watch for, have them put on the car by the tire mounting place. I used Tire rack, and they use the tape on weights inside the wheels, not on the rim, and I didn't have the car with me to get them mounted, so when i got home, I had to move a couple weights to clear the calipers. This is only a problem with the front brakes, there is plenty of room on the rear.

Thanks for your help guys, I will give them a try. This is my fourth Lincoln after 1984 and 1988 Mark VII's and a 1995 Mark VIII LSC (no HID's). I pick it up next week so I will probably be a regular on this board.:) It is a 2005 with 48,000KM (30,000 miles) on it.

Mark VIII 10 spokes a fitted on the LS. Needed 3/16 shims. Thanks for the help saved me a lot of money not having to buy new snows. Had the car only one day but really enjoying it. Took a Ford ESP with it so should be good for the next 4 years.
