Mark 5x8's vs marquis 5x8's

Well i took out my 5x8's or whatever they are and the magnets are more pathetic then my oem grand marquis magnets(saved from old car). I know mag's arent everything and that the marks 5x8's are designed(x-overed) for midbass only but would it be worth it to change them? I allready have a substage. I'm not sure if the mids would even be noticable if i switched.

I put in some pioneer premier 6.5's in mine right when i first got it and they were comparable to stock 5x8's. def not worth it and took them out...Perhaps i'll try out the marquises.

It was an 01. It hit alot tighter IMO

fastmark, were you able to use the factory mark plugs on the vic's speakers?

No I just cut the plugs on the Vic and cut the plugs on the mark and hardwired the Vic plug with crimps.

its either a 6x8 or 5x7, 5x7's will fit but a 6x8 is the proper size for ford speaker replacement

Just a thought fastmark. Did 93's come with the jbl system? Or was it a option?
