Just a FYI. I read off of the March pulley inst. sheet to trq crank bolt to 60 ft lbs. The sheet with timing adj states 114 ft lbs and I checked online and they state 114 to 121 for crank bolt. If anyone has a manual and wants to post what they find would be cool.

Its TTY so with a new bolt you tighten to 89ft lbs then loosen one full turn then tighten to 35 lbs and then another 90*.

I have never done that. I have always gone 90ft lbs and have yet to lose a crank pulley.

Reading that 1996 and up are TTY. My 1993 is not TTY.

Wasnt aware of a crank change. The two service manuals I have cover 1993-1998 and the specs are the same. Granted its Chiltens and Hayes but usually never had an issue with TQ ratings on them.

Also I had the EXACT SAME pulley you just installed on my 98 with the blower. TQ to 90ft lbs and put maybe 6000 miles on it with the twin screw and had no issues.

I apperciate the input. More the merrier. I found this chart all over net its for mustangs so might be different but still 4.6 engines.
Vibration dampner to crankshaft bolt
-1996 114-121 ft/lbs
-1997-later
--Step 1 66 ft/lbs
--Step 2 Loosen one full turn
--Step 3 36 ft/lbs
--Step 4 Tighten additional 90 degrees
