make the phone button answer my phone???

i changed out my radio to a jvc that has bluetooth. i added the box for steering wheel controls. everything works great, however all the phone button does is lower the stereo volume. is there a way to make the phone button work to answer my phone and hang it up when call is done?

thats what my 2007 explorer phone button does.

It depends on your JVC (does it support this function from the wired remote?) and the programming of your steering wheel interface adapter (either it defaulted to volume down on that button, or someone programmed it to do this when it was installed).

i installed it. i never had to program it, it just worked. i guess i better go read the programing instructions that came with it.

So A: the radio does have to support that button from the steering wheel control adapter.

Then B: you need to have the button programmed for that feature (if the SW interface programs itself, then you may need to remap the button)
