Magnaflow Cat Back Installation.

They can't. Honestly I think its just the best sounding excuse they can come up with as to why it doesnt fit. Who knows.

Like I said earlier. They are full of crap. The 3 cars they prototyped (my 2000 V6, a friends 2000 V8 and an '03 V8) were all California cars. The system they sold was exactly the same as the prototype systems. The exhaust system post-cats is not emissions related. I don't know if he's still there, but try Gabe at ghall@magnaflow.com. He hooked me up when my free system failed.

Again, whomever you talked to is full of crap up to his eyes!

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update: I had the kit modified to fit the car. I got rid of the 3rd cat/resonator box thing and just had some tubing bent and welded in inbetween the downpipes off the front cats to the cat back. Sounds and looks really nice now. Too bad it wouldnt have been this way out of the box but at least its good now. Its probably all in my mind but the car seems to pull a little bit harder in the higher rpms now (like 5000-up). Lincoln Lubbe, I did not see any part numbers on the resonators, but I'm sure if you call magnaflow they could tell you.

Do you guys happen to know if installing a product like the Magnaflow 16678 will void any type of factory or extended warranty.

only the mufflers, as I don't believe exhaust pipes are covered (I could be wrong on that, though)

well glad i came across this thread before ordering it from summit, sucks that you had to go through that bs
