Does anyone know of a metal version of the housing for the MAF? I plan to keep this car for a long time and I would think going metal would be much better for long term. I don't much care for the quality of the plastic that the screws go into as I have one bolt on mine that is striped out. I was looking at this one right here but I can clearly see it is not listed for the LS but maybe the housing will work with the actual correct LS MAF sensor.

Okay the first pic is the picture off of Amazon ...it said it fit my 2001 Lincoln LS ...I bought this MAF from Amazon Warehouse ( Open box deals ) used....I should’ve bought it new because I think it’s faulty or they sent me the wrong MAF because my LS runs better with this MAF sensor unplugged then when it’s connected...but this MAF I have in my 2001 LS 3.9 is all metal I only paid $17.87 for it and it’s came in original box with all hardware included ...the original price is $57.00 so becaus eI’m usually strapped for cash and looking for a deal I jumped all over it ...but not sureness if it’s working properly

Is the housing plastic though? That is the main thing I am looking for in metal. I was gonna use a OEM sensor with a metal housing if I can find one that will work.

The housing that the MAF goes into is what I am talking about.
Okay sorry misunderstood...no even when I had a aftermarket cold intake in my car I had to use the existing plastic ...here’s a pic
