Has anyone on this forum installed a lobed twin screw supercharger with air to air intercooler, such as a lysholm/whipple on the 4.6L Mark VIII? (Not a Roots/Eaton/Magna/Paxton positive displacement type, nor a Vortech/ATI Procharger centrifugal type).

IF so I would be very much interested in connecting up with you and learning what specific adjustments you had to go through. I suspect that I will need to go to the Mustang forums to get help on this inquiry, but thought it would be worth a first try here just in case.

This is where I get to show off again!!
It's a KB I.C setup.

Thats the route that Im going when I get all the parts, but I might downgrade to the eaton b/c I know someone that is selling his for cheap. The heads is another story, Im still looking for those.

If I were you I would do the AWIC versus air to air IC. Most positive displacement blowers such as the Eaton roots, Kenne Bell twin screw, or Whipple twin screw are best benefited (and usually outfitted with) by an air:water system.

Eagle1 must have crash landed as we have not heard back from him in a while.

You know how most people are.....allot of talk out of the gate but not many results when it comes down to doing it.

Not exactly a crash. Broke the cam shaft in the new motor at 2,500 miles. Had to go back and get it dealt with. Engine builder stood tall, did a total engine replacement at no cost. But it took quite a lot of time to deal with it.

In the meantime been busy with the race car. Will finish running after next weekend. Then get back to the Lincoln. I was waiting on some ideas from one of the lads on the boards. My direct discussions with Whipple were that they did not have a unit that would work on the 4.6L.
