Best way to remove? Have a complete set of a gen 1 I'd like to get rid of also have the gen 1 bumpers but shipping those is impossible

Heat gun and a putty knife. Will take them off just go slow. Where abouts are you located if it's not to far I'd be interested in the bumpers.

I use a long black made for cutting out windows... it will scratch the hell out of the paint...

pipe knife its called, its just a utility knife with a super long handle.

I've had some success with a windshield cold knife.

this is what I do:

pry up edge, pull off moldings. they will curl up, but if you let them lay in the sun the flatten back out pretty quickly. just use a NEW razor blade to remove the excess adhesive on the back side.

I in the past have taken them off with just pulling them off and let sit in sun also. To get the adhesive off, I used finger nail polish remover and finger rolled it off without disturbing the paint.

actually the best time to take them off is when it is stupid cold out, adhesion doesn't stick as well in the cold
