LS6 5spd, LSD convertion. Need help, plz !!

get an xcal3 set the rev limit lower, there is no prefab tunes for our manual cars so it would need a custom tune, which really only gives around 15-20 or so wheel horsepower depending on mods. pull the motor and baffle the oil pan, i can sell you one of my extra oil pans. have someone weld in some sheet metal. use water and cardboard and slosh it around , put the cardboard in areas that will cause the oil to run towards the oil pickup no matter what . maybe get a spacer for the pickup to move it farther down in the oil aswell. but not too far so that it has enough gap to suck it up. trust me ive wanted to drift mine for awhile but straight line racing seems safer for the motor. you would also want to remove as much weight as you can from the car.

I wanna get my LSD issue solved, once Im done with my driveshaft, diff, etc, beforen drifting Ima pull out the oil pan and see how to fix the problem.
 
it has one stock not sure what rpm anymore, upper 6k close to 7k. trust me i used to hit it when i shifted on the bottle. i didnt let off the gas at all. the xcal 3 is from sct tuning its the device used to tune these cars. they dont have off the shelf tunes for the manual though kinda dumb. i took off the flywheel had it welded solid to eliminate the play from the dual mass part. makes it grab harder, you get a little clutch chatter because theres no springs at all but oh well. need to eliminate as much drivetrain slop as possible. get rid of the rubber in between driveshaft and tranny and the other end as well. newer mustang shifter will work with a little cutting on the main shaft, much stiffer feel shorter throw.

Well, mine doesnt have a limiter 100% for sure. I wanna get a 2-Step limiter someday soon.

Dude, r u telling me there actually is a tuning device for my car ???? :eek: I feel like crying right now... Where do they sell it ? Price ?

About clutch and tranny, Im planning to have a custom built short throw shifter, and as far as the clutch I have no clue what to do. Ive done a couple or researches trying to find a more agressive clutch but couldnt find anything for the LS6.
Something else I MAY have custom built are some stiffer motor/tranny mounts, but thats for later. Im focused on some other things right now, I move on as my budget allows me, super slow :mad:

I was going to get those driveshafts rubers replaced, should I just remove them? I thought about custom building a clone of those ruber pieces but in aluminum.. bad idea ??
 
spec clutch. they claim to make one for us. i think we can use one from a different car. mustang shifter would be a cheaper route, 180 for a hurst. aluminum for the driveshaft i think will be good. may add a little vibration but who cares

Im all about performance, I dont care if my car gets stiffer or anything like that. I wanna have the feel of a real sport vehicle.
Things r gonna have to wait a few weeks till I get another job as the citgo I was workin in has been sold and the new owner has his employees already :( I hate having to stop my project but no choise.
