Hey all, after work I drove my LS home and went inside to run a few errands. I then returned back to my car where I noticed that none of the functions of the car works; I am stumped. My battery tests fine (tried it in another car) and it started right up without any problem. No lights, no alarm, no PATs light, no crank. What should I start to look for? I hope not to suspect a damaged PCM :( Please assist!

The last thing I did to the car was run a PCM KOER, KOEO, DDM, and Instrument cluster test few days back and the car ran fine until now (driven approximately 350-400 miles since those tests.) so I wouldn't think that would be any problem.

loose connection, blown fuse (a lot of them?)

even if the PCM was damaged, with the key turn on, it should be providing power to at least some of the functions

No power anywhere? I am with Loud..... loose connection, positive short to ground?

Lol a quick check of the battery ground cable and I realized quickly that the bolt holding it down to the chassis was rusted to kingdom come. As I tried to remove the bolt, it snapped. A quick walk to my local audio store and 2 feet of ground cable later, relocated the ground to a bolt under the trunk liner behind the rear seat and all is well. Thanks guys!

Pheww, glad you got out of that one Mr Fudge! I was gonna mention Battery terminal and ground connection and to check the Mega fuse in the trunk but was waiting to see a response with respect to any power to the cluster or not. thought I read you stated "No crank" leading me to be confused as to having some power to at least attempt a start up. It looks like that was not the case. Nothing on the key, nothing upon door opening. No interior lights on door open is usually a good indicator to start at the battery cabling.

+1 for you on the quick fix. Winter maintenance calls for checking battery/alternator/starter and all it's cabling connections. Never LS specific.

Indeed that is correct; it's actually my first time experiencing any electrical problem on the LS so I kinda panic'd a bit lol. Anywho, it's a relief. Just a quick question, has anyone done the big 3 upgrade on this car?

has anyone done the big 3 upgrade on this car?

a couple have, but its quite a bit more expensive on this car with the alt to batt run... (i guess it could be argued that should be offset by the shorter amount of power wire you would use installing an amp with the batt in the rear)
