I know this has been brought up multiple times but i am eager to find a realistic solution.. Although some have actually wired this to their turn signals.. i dont care for this much and i want to keep the car stock as much as possible (in the context of not drilling and cutting).. inside these lights.. on the mirrors... are they led's? are they actual 164 like 97% of the rest of the car? if this IS the case.. i will have no choice but getting this plastic dremeled off and putting new bulbs in there??.. if they are not.. i will fabricate something to have the superwhites that are in the rest of my car.. i am prob (and some of you) the only one that even notices that they are still white/yellow.. but i would like perferct uniformity in the color scheme ive got. what other REAL options do i have? i mean.. ill get a led flashlight and straightwire it to the car if i have to.. but its hard to believe they cant be replaced. im gonna call ford and have them tell me "we have to replace the entire assembly.. price if 150 each plus tax plus labor" thanks.

I searched and found several threads on this. The puddle lights are removable, but are a sealed unit, and non-replaceable except as a mirror assembly from Ford. You can bet, though, if one of mine burns out, the Dremel will come out of the tool box. ;)

No, I didn't notice it was your post, and was trying to help. Why the he!! would you post this when you were the one who already proved you can't do it??? :p

Andy

...and I won't be surprised if they tell you $600!

... and the reason I found your post in the first place is because changing those bulbs was one of the first things I wanted to do. Yes, they're just about yellow, and I don't like it!
