I really want to take my car to a weekend long music festival, to have good tunes, comfy ride, and navigation.

But I can't stop thinking about people scratching my car when they walk between my car and another with their camping gear.

What would you guys do? Pimp the fest in the LS? Or take an 02 chev silverado? The festival is about 200 miles away.

f*ck yea take the truck....you wont have to worry about f*cking it up and its not like people pull up to festivals in ferrari's and maybachs...u just wanna get hammered and go to a std free naked sex lake party but u have to go thru cross country terrain similar to that if tibet to get to it.....wud u wanna take the ls or the camo truck...

The truck is my brother's. My truck is an 85, and I seriously doubt it will handle a 4 hour 70 mph drive. I was thinking about installing my amp/sub in his truck for the weekend though. He's already got a lesser amp/sub in there no, so all I'd have to do is unhook his amp/sub, and hook mine up.

You still have that winter truck beater? Rock that thing out and put a tub in the back.:headbang:

That'd be pretty sweet lol. The floor of the bed would probably fall out under that much weight though.

You should prob take your brother's truck then. You wouldn't want the ls coming home with a custom/scratched on design. Better not to risk it.

People at car shows can be pretty ignorant. I was unlucky enough to be parked next to a Road Runner or Super Bird can't remember exactly, once with my 76 MustangII years ago. Alot of people would stop to look at that car and would have the nerve to lean on my car as they looked at it. One person even kicked my car going over the gaurd rail we were backed up to. I left early very pissed off.

I assume you are going to Bella. I would definitely take the truck. That festival looks awesome. I used to love going to that type of thing before having a herd of kids. Fill up the back of the truck with everything you need for some great camping. Around here I'd borrow a truck cap from someone and sleep in the bed on a matress.

Yep. But the parking lot is separate from the camping area. The biggest concern is people walking between my car and another with sleeping bags/tents/etc. and scraping down the side of my car.

It's not a very large festival either. Only holds about 5000.

Still some people are just dicks, they see a nice detailed car and just want to touch it. At an event like that the chances are just higher, like going to the bar.

Holy crap. I can't believe you guessed it. Yep. Bella Vida.

Just leave the kids/wife at home. That's what I'm doing :D

lol. We are having a guys weekend. Myself, my brother, and 2 good friends of many years are all leaving the women behind. I'm thinking we'll keep each other in line fairly well.

Although, I have a 30 ft diameter party tent that should get pretty hoppin during the late night parties lol.

You ever been to harmony park?

i have the same problem when i go to Talladega for the weekend twice a year (700m trip each way)

everybody is so hammered while walking around, i usually just do my best to park it as protected as possible by putting it in the middle of the camping spot and setting every thing else up around it.

I've been right by it. I used to spend summers at my Grandparent's in Northern, IA just south of there on 35. When my wife and I were young and camped a lot we looked at going there, but never got around to it.

It's a fun place for sure. I've been there about 10 times for different festivals over the years. A lot of good memories in there.

I took my 05'LS to Ct. from Chicago twice to the Gathering of the Vibes, music fest. The ride was very comfortable. And not a thing happened to my car! People for the most part, dont go looking to screw up peoples cars. Esp. hippies!! Have a good time.
