This is what I got! Well ok, I am not officially the owner, we truly find out monday but all the paperwork was done and yada yada so hopefully everything is approved.

Well its loaded, no cd changer though :cry:
18" wheels
4,6L v8 and my god its quick and sounds like how I wanted my LS to sound.

Payments are higher, yes, I know but not much at all and I figured this car was too good to pass on, I wanted one before I loved the LS and its hard to track one down. So hopefully monday I can truly call it mine. So lets pray nothing wierd happens.

Mileage is only alittle over 100 more than what I had on the LS too.
 
welcome to the mod motor club! i love the marauder, just sucks that they discontinued it. thats ford for you! good luck with it when you get it.
 
Well its in the garage right now, so I guess that means its good but hey I thought I was good on the other car I traded for and than had to give back because the dealer totally lied about everything, saying it was mine, no problems other than getting the down payment to them the next day and everything. I am hoping this is not the case cause this car is sweet, a nice step down in lux. I believe and big step up in performance.
 
Nice car man, although it's not that much faster stock for stock than your 02 V8 LS. Now start modding that puppy and it will be really blistering fast. I suggest some gears and SCT tuner as your first mods...
 
It should be. It beats the 2nd gen LSes by 20 or 25hp, IIRC, and I don't think it weighs a whole lot more. Being a mod motor, it has a much better upgrade path, too.

It'll get whupped by an LS in the twisties, though. :D The DEW-98 is just a better platform than the old Panthers when it comes to handling.
 
Yea I'd say its faster, have not totally let it rip but it pulls much better and feels well... faster than the LS, especially after 3K.
 
beatiful car there, best of luck to you and I hope you get it. Although it is not quite as nice as a marauder, I really miss my old 99 Crown Vic Police Interceptor, they are good cars and have pretty decent power. Good luck!
 
hey enjoy the 4.6 and the merc.

I almost bought one, but it just seemed too big for my needs at the time.

For stepping up to the plate with it, I would look into a Bell blower for that DOHC.
 
I dig the old school dial type odometer. Here in Florida some of the highway patrol guys have Marauders. I was looking into one before my first LS but decided against a land yacht. Cool cars though.
 
There was a muarder (spelling sorry) @ the fun ford weekend in commerce a couple years ago that ran low 12s. It was kennebell charged! Keep it a sleeper! I like your new investment!
 
Thanks all, I just washed it today, hard to tell in the pics but it rained the day before so there was some dust on it. It is definately something to get used to being much bigger. Had a hard time getting the roof dry actually had to open the door and step up on the inside to get at it lol. I seriously hope tomorrow I get the call saying its a done deal. I mean they said it was done but after that one experience from another dealer I am kind of skeptic. If it turns out for one reason or another the bank does not do it than I well be let down but I love the LS and I'd still be happy, just well miss the sexyness this car has, nothing special but yet its a sure attention getter and gotta love that v8 under that hood.

As for modifications, well I think after a couple of month I well be in the market for an intake but after that I am just going to leave it as is for sometime and just focus on more important bills. Thought about those v8 badges to the fenders like I did the LS, give it some contrast to the sides but I do not know yet.

Its going to be fun coming up behind people and them wondering if I am a cop or not, this does not mean I am going to run around acting like I am but the color matchs one of the police dpmnt squad cars besides the white in the middle. G/f says I should put a big antenna on the trunk but I do not want that lol. I'm thinking about painting the words MARAUDER that are on the rear bumper that are recessed white, I think that would look pretty good.
 
Congrats on your new ride man.. I am actually happy to see that you didn't get no miata/mini/prelude type of car. I really like those Marauders, but don't like the fact that they look like a police intercepter car.

Well, enjoy it and put some HIDs in, at least so people can tell you apart from cops at night.
 
Hell ya man, those Marauder's kick ass I have to say if I got a mercury I would take one of those all I gots ta say is you have to be lucky ta find one of those. Congrads Man I can see you'll have LOTS of fun with that 4.6.
 
Thanks again and its mine officially. Just got back from the dealer, I got GAP insurance aswell w/ no charge cause they knew I was about to ask for the LS back once they said the price went up, I managed to get it back to what we agreed on saturday so I am happy but am sad at the same time lol. Gonna miss the LS, was a good car but I keep telling myself problems were lurking, I think the coils started to have the problem cause it would shake, sometimes pretty good when warming up and not to mention I do not need to buy new tires or brakes so I saved there I guess haha.

I had someone ahead of me on the way home go from 70 in a 55 to the limit when I got behind them, so I just moved over and went by, think I scared them, that is gonna be a pita when this car but damn who cares.
 
WOW come with a boat/ fog horn!? HAHA Kidding nice ride and yessss they are fast.
