ive always thought that the ls was a low car but i see that alot of people on here have lowered their cars and they look really slik & clean...they look better! but did yall do anything special to the bottom front of the car? because even now its hard not to hit something when i drive over a speed bump or when im going down the bottom of a hill or about to go up a hill...the dust shield & bottom of the bumper looks horrible now! did yall do anything special?

Wow, I've never hit anything with mine. Are you running stock rims and tires? This last weekend I parked next to a BMW 540i and definitely noticed that the LS has a huge gap between the tire and fender.

yeah I didn't have any issues at stock height. Lowered height I really have to be careful though. I can't drive over the tank fill locations at the gas station. Ask me how I know.

What size rims are you running, factory or aftermarket? Might be time for some new shocks.

Ouch, I don't want to know. I can guess and it isn't pretty.

With a full car, I drag on speed bumps pending on how tall they are.

I am stock height

thier stock rims 17" and i do seriously need new shocks but i guess theirs not much i can do when i drive up a hill cuz when im about to go up, the concrete scrapes the bottom bumper and i still go really slow and i also try not to go head on straight i go kinda sideways so it wont be as bad...but some speed bumps nowadays are really exagerated on how big they make them no joke!

This is how much room I have after lowering. The rear actually tucks into the well just a hair. 245/40 in the back, 245/35 in the front. 19x8, 42 offset.

I'm on Springtech Springs.

The first pic is the rear clearance, second pic is the front.

Its actually kind of sad that you either...

A: Have the pics lying around already
B: Take the time to immediately go and get some...

Either way you have more energy for this kind of crap than I do...

Don.t see why its "sad" that i.m bored at work, camera is in the back seat, and my car is maybe 15 steps away. What would be sad is being too lazy to walk 15 feet and take a picture.

I think that is simply AWESOME that you went out and took those pics right quick... on the clock too!

bravo.

do any of you guys remeber that ridiculousy low white LS with the black powdercoated wheels that was basically sitting on the ground (cant remember the member name)? i saw it today on the interstate and man that is one low ls, it looked like the trunk was scrapping the ground, the front was a bit higher

ah yes thats it, i knew there had to be pictures somewhere, but yea those pictures are spot on on how low that thing is, crazy
