I got an oil change and car wash yesterday. That night I turned on my low beams and the high beams came on. Turned the switch to high beams and they came on. Switched to low beams and highs came on again. Thinking a circuit may have gotten wet and screwed something up. Has anyone experienced this before??

wait to see when it dries out if it goes back... I'd bet a bad switch is most likely your problem... but looking over the harnesses might not be a bad idea

Unfortunately, there are a few things involved.

The multifunction switch tells the cluster if you want high or low beams.

The cluster tells the FEM if you want high or low beams.

The FEM drives internal relays for high or low beams.

I'd bet on the FEM since it is down where it could get wet the easiest. It's behind the driver's side kick panel, at the floor.

IIRC Its pretty expensive part, unless you can find a used one and swap them out (pretty easy to get to).. then it will need to be reprogrammed at a dealer.... correct Joe?

I'm still under warranty. This should be covered right?

Maybe. Factory warranty would probably cover it if you didn't mention washing under the hood. However, I must assume that you mean an extended warranty of some sort. You never can tell with them.
