Ok quick backround.

Im at heart an american car kinda guy. However I have been modding my acurasince i was 16. Im 23 now, finally bought me a 2000 lincoln LS-8. (ive only been oooogling over them since hey first debuted) I remember sitting in one at chicago autoshow. Anyway. Im having a few issues with it which are most likely coil issues, hopefully nothing more.

As soon as I get it running right I want to do performance mods to it. But with some restriction.

1. I do not want to sacrifice ride quality
2. It must be dependable ( I cant afford to keep fixing it)
3. I am lovin my gas mileage, but will sacrifice a little

I dont have a lot of money and im not looking for any crazy amountof power. I do have a strong history with cars and i am pretty mechanical, so what are a few things I can do to give me some power with these restrictions?

1. I want to do exhaust quiet and throaty, (2.5" magnaflow prob.)
2. Prob a CAI

Thanks everybody. Just so you know, I have been searching this forum and have read a whole bunch, but I havent really found anything saying regrets or most for the money. Im hoping this will come from experience, rather than what you have read. Thanks again.

Very small aftermarket for the ls.

Basically get what you said, magnaflow exhuast alone with either a kkm or k&n intake. Both will give you the sound but the k&n gives better performance.

i agree small aftermarket

if you like the ride, leave it alone. not much you can do except enjoy what you have. save your pennies and dimes, you will need them for repairs, as these cars can get quite expensive in a hurry. invest in the complete repair manual before anything else. and some good tools. do some work to find the nearest autozone or other facility that will rent you tools. replace coils, plugs and valve cover gaskets. drive it.....................

If he wants to stay stock yes, but if he want to get more out of the car, he can add the little things that are available. I remember how heavy and sluggish my car felt compared to how it drives now. If you only know it in stock form then you can't compare, but now that I now how the ls can drive with a few add ons, I can't drive a stock one.

What you listed pretty much sums it up. You can also do a performance tune from torrie or a dyno tune from your local performance shop. There are also some headers for the ls but no one has installed some yet to see the gains from them. their about 700-800 though.

thank you... One question... I Know staggered wheels front to back will mess with the tcs but if i put a wider wheel/tire in the back, will that mess with anything?
