ok, the past few days it has gotten severally cold here, like with the windchill, -8 degrees. It has been snowy, rainy, and then cold, making it damp and frozen everywhere. The other night, i went to go out late, and when the air ride kicked on after turning the car on, it was alot louder than normal, i mean alot. now, the air ride works fine, still does, no leaks, no nothing, but its just alot louder than i have ever noticed. any suggestions or ideas, or concerns?

There may be some moisture in the airlines and when temps get low it will freeze.

I think they have an integrated dryer. I know the Arnott replacement units do. You can also replace the dryer on the unit for about $42 aftermarket from the same source.

Moisture is removed by the dryer assembly on the compressor. The only problem is if there is that much moisture in the dryer that is causing it to freeze your compressor will most likely go bad REAL quick. Like someone said it could also be the rubber 'feet' that hold the compressor to the bracket.

ford/linc now sells a bracket/kit for the navi and expeditoon with a new "double isolated" bracket it has new isolators for the comp and also now the bracket has rubber bushings maby they will make these kits for a m8 some day
