Lost one of the check balls in my valve body

Yeah... I lost one of those little black balls in the valve body. Does anyone have any spares or know where to get one?

Any trans shop has them. They are cheap, just make sure they are vulcanized and not metal or you will be getting a new trans in short time!

The trans shop gave them to me free, I replaced them all. The old ones were a little smaller = worn down.

i am doing the j mod and accumulator mods tommarow do you think it would be beneficial to replace the check balls?

I think anytime you can do some cheap maintenance while you are in a project, its worth it. They dont cost much and its all apart, why not? They may not "need" replacing, but they will be worn down in size. The main reason I did mine was because one became so worn it was stuck right into a plate opening. So since I needed one, I got all new. But comparing showed that others were worn down too. I think Mercon V may treat them better than the Mercon III did.

j/k I found a trans shop 15 miles away that has them. $5 for 8... not too bad. AAMCO is the only game in Ames and I'm not playing that.

Well for $5 and a little gas, I think they are worth replacing.
