I have a 2000 ls and my radiator hydraulic cooling fan pump is leaking. I have been looking everywhere for one but can only find the part at a ford dealership for about 600$. I'm hoping to find the part elsewhere so I don't have to pay the "ford price". Any help would be appreciated

Looks like Tasca has it for $378, but I bet if you order it they will tell you its on back order. I think that Ford has stopped supplying this part.
Have you tried e-bay?

..or slavage

Yeah eBay doesn't have any new ones.....and the one thing I'm worrying about in getting a used part is the issue happening again in a few months.

I don't blame you at all, but it looks like Ford has discontinued the part. If so, the only new ones to be found are likely to be on dealer shelves.

Yea I think they have discontinued it...ford said it would take them 4 days to get the part in

i have yet to hear anything negative about the electric conversion

There have been a few posts. I think that most or all of the problems were due to people not knowing how to correctly do the wiring.

What about the high current draw. Given that the electrical systems in our cars are taxed already, and the fact that we can't upgrade the alternator, does anyone have problems with excessive draw??

I'm running a 43A fan (which is massive) and no issues on a Napa reman alt. I have the stock radio and *no* seat heaters.

I have seat heaters and a system in mine so I'm kinda worried bout high current draw
